Tips if you use a screen reader or have low vision

  • Store items that feel alike in different pouches or bags with distinct textures, so you can tell them apart by touch.
  • Label toiletries with braille labels or rubber bands before you leave. Travel bottles often look and feel the same.
  • Spray sunscreen is easier to apply evenly without looking than lotion. Spray in a well-ventilated place and avoid your face.
  • Choose a mirror with the strongest magnification you can comfortably use; 5x or 10x mirrors are common for low vision.
